An Evening with Obeth

On Wednesday night there was an excited anticipation in the air, as a packed hall met for an evening with Rev. Obeth to hear all about his incredible life.  Accompanied by delicious food and conversation, over fifty people gathered to listen to a story so far removed from our lives in Audlem that it could have been made into a blockbuster film!  From his early beginnings in a troubled Sri Lanka and moving through his life, work and travels all over the globe we sat and listened intently to a story full of struggles and perseverance but one that provided inspiration to us all.  A huge thank you to Obeth for sharing just part of his story with us and to the catering team (and pudding makers) who provided us with a fantastic spread once again.
