Watching and Waiting in ADVENT – A Quiet Day led by Revd Helen Kirk
On Saturday 6 December 2025 from 10am to 3.30pm at The Oblate Retreat Centre,
Wistaston Hall, Crewe CW2 8JS. Lunch will be provided. Cost £10 per person. Please book with Rob via chester.stoke@btconnect.com stating any dietary requirements or access needs.

The AMC stewards have decided to provide a chapel Christmas card this year, for all to sign instead of sending lots of individual ones, in the hope that it might also lead to donations either to Action for Children or your favourite charity instead.

Audlem’s Big Switch On is on Friday 28 November. At a recent stewards meeting it was felt that it was very sad that our Chapel isn’t involved so we have decided to do something very special in our Car Park for ALL to see – it is a first for us and indeed a first for Audlem – while this is happening we hope to serve homemade mince pies and non-alcoholic mulled wine PLEASE try to pop down to see what we are doing. If there is anyone who loves making mince pies that would be appreciated – please sign on the list in the hall.

St James are holding a Christmas Tree Festival in aid of a new heating system in the church. It takes place from Friday morning 28 November over the weekend until Monday evening 1st December. There will be 12 trees decorated by different people/organisations, including our young people, on the theme of Christmas carols. There is no charge for admission but donations will be welcome for home baked refreshments etc. There will also be a quiz sheet, again on the Christmas carol theme, available for an entry fee of £1.

Neighbourhood Britain in Bloom 2025 Awards – We are very pleased to announce that for the third consecutive year we have been awarded another ‘Outstanding’ Level 5 certificate’ for our garden.

Wesley Place Methodist Church Christmas Tree Festival 2025
Commences on Friday 21 November from 2-5pm followed by Carols around the Trees at 6.30pm. Saturday 22nd open from 10am to 4pm.
Sunday 23rd opem from 2 to 8pm and Monday 24th open from 10am to 1pm.
Refreshments, gift stalls and more …. FREE ADMISSION.
