AMC Book Group – The next meeting will be this Thursday 15 May at 2.30pm in the small room at AMC. The chosen book is 'God of Surprises' by Gerard Hughes. This is a much reprinted book and has been described as one of the great books of spiritual guidance, with practical wisdom and humanity. New friends always welcome.
At Woore Methodist chapel on Sunday 18th May at 2:30 pm a Spring Harvest Festival: "Thanksgiving for the Lambs"led by James Butters. Come and meet some real lambs and see a display of spring fields created by the UFO (Knit and Natter) group.
We are looking forward to hosting the various Music Festival acts over the end of May Bank Holiday weekend for the third year running.
During the afternoons of each day we will be providing refreshments. We would appreciate volunteers to make traybakes etc and/or to help serve the refreshments. Please sign the list in the Hall if you can help in any way.
AMC will be hosting a number of acts during the Music Festival weekend from 24 to 26 May.
Saturday 24 May:
2pm Moonlight Serenade, a 6 piece band playing music from the 30's & 40's era
including many Glenn Miller numbers.
4pm Meg Lee, one of the North West's most popular contemporary jazz singers'
Sunday 25 May:
2pm Sandbach Ukelele Band for a lively hour of music from their 1000+ songbook.
3.40pm The Hank Bros – a charming multi-instrument quartet playing classic American country music
Monday 26 May:
3.30 pm Sale Gilbert & Sullivan Society, who will be joined by Alistair Donkin, D'Oyly Carte patter man for many years.
Friday afternoon teas weekly at Hankelow are pausing over the summer months. They will restart in September.

St John's Methodist Church, Whitchurch present a series of FREE midday concerts in May;
Friday 16 May – Music & Stories with Bill Webb followed by Whitchurch Junior Academy Children's Choir.
Friday 23 May- The Tithe Recorder Ensemble followed by The Trigelows (Helen, Rachel & Vic).
Friday 30 May – Whitchurch Singers, singing popular songs from the 60's & 70's, plus a monologue
by Graham Turner, a piano solo by Maurice Posniak and a solo from Stephen Price.
Following the concerts your donations will be gratefully accepted and a ploughman's lunch will be served
