Christmas coffee morning. A big thank you to all who contributed in any way to the Christmas Coffee Morning on 18th December here at Audlem Methodist Church. It was a good opportunity for everyone to view the new garden and the building work carried out over the year. In spite of it being an outside event (brrr!) and supposedly low-key, over £500 was raised for the building fund. A special thank you to Suzie Poole who raised almost £100 from the cake stall at Corbrook earlier in the month. Well done everyone! (Sorry for the delayed publication of this item. Janet)

'On opening the door when the bell rang on Sunday we had a lovely surprise. Who should be there but Gill Massey with a beautiful flower arrangement!
Alvar and I would like to thank Church members for their kind thoughts as we remain very cautious, given our health, until Covid has subsided'. Many thanks, Pat and Alvar

Recipe for preserving children.

(From a Cook Book compiled to raise funds for a church in Dorset.)
1 large field.
½ dozen children.
3 small dogs.
1 pebbly brook.
Mix the children with dogs, empty into field and sprinkle with flowers. Run brook gently over pebbles, cover all with deep blue sky and bake in hot sun. When the children are well browned they may be removed and will be ready for setting away to cool in the bath tub.

The next newsletter will be on Sunday 6th February. Please send any items for inclusion to furberrichard1@gmail.com by 5pm on Fridays
